FairPrice Group announces FairPrice Return Vouchers to support Singaporeans with stretching their dollar

  • A S$4 Return Voucher will be given with every S$50 nett spend in a single receipt at all FairPrice, FairPrice Finest, FairPrice Xtra and Unity stores from 3 – 9 October 2024
  • Customers can receive up to three Return Vouchers per transaction, and vouchers will be redeemable throughout the month of October

SINGAPORE, 02 OCTOBER 2024 –  To help Singaporeans stretch their dollar, FairPrice Group (FPG) announced today that it will distribute a S$4 FairPrice Return Voucher for every S$50 nett spend in a single receipt across all FairPrice, FairPrice Finest, FairPrice Xtra and Unity stores.1 The week-long promotion follows a wave of initiatives since the start of the year to help Singaporeans keep essentials within reach, and get the nutrition they need in their daily life.

FPG’s Return Voucher Promotion will run for a week from 3 – 9 October 2024.2 They will be redeemable across all FairPrice outlets throughout the month of October. Vipul Chawla, Group CEO, FairPrice Group, shared, “keeping daily essentials within reach for all in Singapore has been our guiding mission for over 50 years. Through the Return Voucher initiative, we want to assure Singaporeans that we will continue to support them in times of need, and strive to make their daily lives and access to healthy and nutritious food a little better every day.”

Following similar initiatives launched in tandem with two tranches of the government’s CDC Voucher programme this year, this latest Return Voucher promotion marks the third time that FPG has provided Singaporeans with Return Vouchers to maximise their savings and stretch their dollar in 2024.

Since FPG was formed in 2019, the Group has returned more than S$900 million in discounts, rebates, and donations to members, customers, and the community. In 2024, these efforts included absorbing the one per cent Goods and Services Tax (GST) on 500 staple items till the end of June, price freezes on popular seafood and exclusive promotions for produce ahead of Chinese New Year, S$4.5 million worth of NTUC Union and Link member deals for May Day, and the Save Every Day campaign, which provided customers with over 400 unique savings coupons worth over $2,000.

In a time where stubborn inflation continues to keep the cost of daily essentials high, FPG’s philanthropic arm, FairPrice Foundation (FPF), also led a series of signature programmes aimed at sustaining the poor and needy, deepening community engagement, and improving workers’ welfare. 

These included pledging S$80,000 to seniors in need for during Chinese New year, distributing more than 60,000 sets of Iftar snacks during Ramadan, sponsoring 50 cents kopi and teh offers throughout the month of May, a donation of 45,000 eggs to vulnerable groups in June, the $1 breakfast set during August in commemoration of National Day, and giving out 12,000 nutritious breakfast bundles to Primary 6 students ahead of the Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE).
