FairPrice launches second Taiwan Fair following partnership agreement with Kaohsiung on import of Taiwanese agricultural products

The expanded product range at this Taiwan Fair follows the first Taiwan Fair in March 2019 after the agreement signing, catering to the increasing popularity and demand for Taiwanese products
The island-wide fair at FairPrice stores will feature more than 70 products from various parts of Taiwan, at discounts of up to 46 per cent

SINGAPORE, 11 July 2019 – NTUC FairPrice (FairPrice) today launched its second Taiwan Fair following the inaugural Taiwan Fair in March this year, as part of the joint partnership agreement signed with the Kaohsiung City Government. The fair will showcase an expanded product range, including agricultural produce from Kaohsiung and other parts of Taiwan, in addition to popular selling items. 

Mr Tng Ah Yiam, Deputy CEO and Head of Products, NTUC FairPrice, said: “Following the joint partnership agreement with Kaohsiung City Government, NTUC FairPrice is excited to launch the second Taiwan fair this year. This partnership has enabled FairPrice to widen our sources of supply, benefitting consumers in Singapore with an expanded range of products from Taiwan at affordable prices. We hope our customers will like the variety and enjoy the best of what Taiwan has to offer at FairPrice.”

The fair will feature more than 70 products from various parts of Taiwan, priced at discounts of up to 46 per cent. Apart from a larger variety of seasonal produce including apple mangoes, pineapples, sweet pears, Kyoho grapes, and guavas, there will also be popular selling items including the Chatime 3-in-1 Instant Milk Tea, Hsin Tung Yang Bubble Tea Cake, and Qing Shui Instant Noodles.

FairPrice’s Taiwan Fair will be held at all 147 FairPrice stores island-wide, as well as online platform FairPrice On, for a week from 11 to 17 July 2019. Availability of products may vary from store to store.
