SINGAPORE, 23 SEPTEMBER 2024 –  FairPrice Group (FPG) announced today that it is the first grocery retailer to link up its mobile app with the Health Promotion Board’s (HPB) Healthy 365 app for Singaporeans to earn Healthpoints seamlessly without having to scan QR codes when they make healthier food purchases using the FPG app.

The FPG app which has more than 1.5 million users has been integrated with HPB’s Healthy 365 app so that users who link the app to the Healthy 365 app and pay via the FPG app, will be able to accumulate HPB Healthpoints seamlessly when they purchase Healthier Choice Symbol (HCS) groceries across FairPrice supermarkets and Online, Unity pharmacies, and Healthier Dining Programme (HDP) endorsed food and drinks at Kopitiam food courts. This will be in addition to Linkpoints which customers already earn for most purchases.

The enhancement is part of FPG’s ongoing commitment to offer its customers a rewarding experience in making healthier food choices. Vipul Chawla, Group CEO, FairPrice Group, shared that HPB’s efforts to promote healthy living through the Healthy 365 app is aligned with FPG’s wider commitment to make things easy on the experience and easy on the planet for customers.

“Our hectic lifestyles coupled with responsibilities like work or school can make it easy for health and nutrition to become an afterthought. Initiatives like HPB’s Healthy 365 app remind us how important it is to take control of our health and wellness journeys, and as the nation’s largest retailer, we are energised to work with HPB to leverage our network of over 570 touch points across the island to help reward Singaporeans when they make healthier choices in their daily lives,” said Vipul Chawla.

The number of HPB Healthpoints issued for each category of qualifying Healthier Choice item purchased are:

  • Qualifying HCS grocery – 5 HPB Healthpoints
  •  Qualifying HDP drink – 5 HPB Healthpoints
  • Qualifying HDP food – 10 HPB Healthpoints

Customers can exchange the HPB Healthpoints to redeem FairPrice, transport and food vouchers. For example, with 750 HPB Healthpoints, customers may choose to redeem a five-dollar FairPrice voucher which is equivalent to a bottle of lower-sodium soy sauce and a loaf of wholemeal bread.

The enhancement of the FPG app is the latest expansion of FPG’s omni-channel ecosystem, and the latest milestone in its roadmap to expand the FPG app’s capabilities and provide greater accessibility and convenience to customers.
