FairPrice Group's Share-A-Textbook Initiative aims to make textbooks and educational resources accessible for all in Singapore by providing these educational materials for free, to help ease financial burdens for families amidst rising expenses.
You can make a positive impact in various ways:
Each action you take goes a long way in making education resources more accessible and supporting environmental responsibility.
You may donate your books at the following FairPrice Xtra Hypermarkets, as well as Tzu Chi Humanistic Youth Centre, and Vidacity. These locations have been selected to streamline logistical operations to reduce our carbon footprint - contributing further to sustainability efforts!
We invite everyone to come and collect pre-loved books to support sustainability and reduce waste. No registration is needed to collect books—simply bring your own essentials, such as trolleys and bags, to pack and carry the books home.
The textbooks and supplementary books that have not been collected will be sent to recycling centres. This ensures that the books don't end up in landfills and the materials are reused in an environmentally sustainable way, reducing waste and environmental impact.
Registration is not required to participate in the collection of textbooks.
However, if you would like to donate, please drop off your used textbooks and supplementary materials at designated NTUC FairPrice supermarkets from 16 - 30 November.
If you plan to collect textbooks, please make arrangements to do so between 7 - 8 December.
Thank you for supporting the FairPrice Group’s Share-A-Textbook Initiative and helping to reduce waste, extend the life of educational materials, and promote environmental sustainability among our students.
