Temporary Store Closure of FairPrice outlets at Kitchener Complex, Toa Payoh Hub and VivoCity

  • To safeguard the wellbeing of customers and staff, and in adherence to the Ministry of Health’s advisory, the three stores will be closed for two days to facilitate deep cleaning

Singapore, 30 April 2021 – NTUC FairPrice (FairPrice) has announced it will close three of its outlets, in adherence to the advisory this evening from Ministry of Health (MOH) listing public locations required to close for two days as they were recently visited by COVID-19 cases related to the Tan Tock Seng Hospital Cluster. The three stores will be closed from 1 May 2021 and will resume operations at noon (12pm) Monday, 3 May 2021, to facilitate deep cleaning.

The stores are as follows:

  • FairPrice, Kitchener Complex (808 French Road, #01-01 Kitchener Complex, Singapore 200808)
  • FairPrice, Toa Payoh Hub (500 Lor 6 Toa Payoh, #B1-32/#01-33 HDB Hub, Singapore 310500)
  • FairPrice Xtra, Vivocity (1 HarbourFront Walk, #01-23 & #B2-23, VivoCity, Singapore 098585)

These stores will be closed for deep cleaning procedures in line with the National Environment Agency’s guidelines to disinfect the premises.

Customers who need to purchase groceries may visit the nearest store in the vicinity

The co-operative apologises for any inconvenience caused and would like to assure the community that it is sparing no effort to protect its staff and customers so that they can continue to work and shop in a safe and healthy environment.

Precautionary Measures to Enhance Safety at Stores

Since the onset of COVID-19, FairPrice has put in place stringent precautionary measures to maintain a safe and clean environment for its shoppers and staff in accordance with MOH’s guidelines.

These measures include stepping up cleaning regimes, especially for high touch surfaces like railings, trolleys, baskets, checkout counters every four hours. All staff and suppliers will also have their temperature taken at least twice a day and hand sanitisers have been made available for customers to use.

Customers are also encouraged to maintain safe distancing. Floor markings at checkout queues, in-store posters and announcements have been put in place to remind customers to do so.
