FairPrice Foundation works with over 150 beneficiary organisations every year to improve lives within the community. Its efforts are aimed at providing food security for the poor and needy in Singapore, deepening community bonds and improving worker welfare, especially when it comes to everything food.

Feeding and Nourishing Those in Need with A Full Plate

To improve access to nutrition for the underprivileged, FairPrice Group, with support from FairPrice Foundation, launched A Full Plate: Singapore’s largest food donation drive.
Proceeds for the donation drive - matched up to $1 million by the Foundation - will go towards providing the beneficiaries of 10 charity partners with nutritious groceries and hot meals.
Teaching Kids about Nutrition with Start Strong, Stay Strong

To empower kids with making the right choices for their health and the planet, FairPrice Group and FairPrice Foundation launched Start Strong, Stay Strong: Singapore's first preschool nutrition and sustainability education initiative.
Through the programme, more than 20,000 preschool children from My First Skool by NTUC First Campus will be taught about the importance of nutrition through a curriculum designed around meaningful engagement and experiential learning, by the end of 2025.
Cheering on PSLE Students with the Cheers Breakfast Club

To give Primary 6 kids a strong head start for their PSLEs, FairPrice Foundation partnered with Cheers and FairPrice Xpress to give out 12,000 delicious and nutritious breakfast bundles to students taking the exams across the island.
Each bundle - worth over $20 - contained nutritious breakfast essentials including milk, cereal, wholemeal bread, and Brand's Essence of Chicken.
Increasing Community Access to Protein with Donation of 45,000 Eggs

In an effort to increase access to protein for the vulnerable in Singapore, FairPrice Group, through its philanthropic arm FairPrice Foundation, teamed up with community partners to distribute 45,000 eggs to needy families, individuals, the elderly, and migrant workers across the island.
Celebrating Workers with $4.5 million of May Day Discounts

To commemorate Singapore's workers during May Day 2024, FairPrice Group committed over S$4.5 million to provide deals and discounts on daily essentials for NTUC Union and Link members.
FairPrice Foundation brought back its popular 50-cent kopi and teh promotion to Kopitiam outlets across the island, from May through June.
The Foundation also offered complimentary Milo to children of NTUC Union members with every 50-cent hot beverage purchase on May Day.
Breaking Fast with Underprivileged Families during Ramadan

In commemoration of Ramadan, FairPrice Foundation, FairPrice Group, and NTUC jointly organised a Buka Puasa event in April 2024 for the beneficiaries of Yayasan MENDAKI, one of the Foundation’s longest standing partners in supporting the vulnerable. At the fast-breaking activity, guest of honour Ng Chee Meng, Secretary-General, NTUC, and representatives from FairPrice Group and the Foundation handed out care packs to attendees filled with festive goodies and $200 worth of Kopitiam and FairPrice vouchers.
FairPrice Foundation also announced a $40,000 donation to Yayasan MENDAKI that will go towards supporting the education and lifelong learning goals of vulnerable individuals and families in the Malay community. A second Buka Puasa event was also held at Selarang Halfway House in partnership with Singapore Prisons Service and Bapa Sepanjang Hayat, providing ex-offenders with the opportunity to reconnect with their families and gather in the spirit of communal bonding.
Bringing Festive Cheer to Ren Ci Residents

FairPrice Foundation collaborated with FairPrice Group to launch a string of initiatives aimed at bringing festive cheer to underprivileged seniors during Chinese New Year 2024. The Foundation pledged $80,000 that went towards providing 4,000 seniors from 10 beneficiaries with daily essentials-filled festive care packs, distributed by FairPrice Group volunteers throughout the Chinese New Year period.
One of these distribution activities took place at Ren Ci @ Ang Mo Kio (Nursing Home) for the elderly. At the celebration, on top of receiving the care packs, Ren Ci nursing home members were treated to uplifting festive performances and activities, including a lion dance by the Silver Pride Lion Troupe - Singapore’s first senior lion dance group; a song recital by kindergarteners from MY First Skool, and a sing-along session with FPG representatives.
Collaborating with The Boys’ Brigade through Share-a-Gift

For the 23rd year running, FairPrice Foundation and FairPrice Group showcased its commitment to supporting vulnerable groups in Singapore during the Christmas Season by partnering with The Boys’ Brigade for its annual Share-a-Gift project. The initiative - first launched in 1988 - aims to bring cheer and deliver hope to families in need during the end of year holiday season by delivering groceries and other festive gifts direct to their doorsteps.
In 2023, FairPrice Foundation committed $75,000 to The Boys’ Brigade that went towards purchasing daily essentials for the Share-a-Gift project’s beneficiaries, and FairPrice Group leveraged its size and scale as Singapore’s largest retailer to serve as the programme’s collection and distribution partner - FairPrice Group volunteers joined The Boys’ Brigade representatives in delivering the seasonal gift packs directly to the homes of beneficiaries.
Deepavali Donation to SINDA

FairPrice Foundation and FairPrice Group demonstrated their commitment to the Indian community in Singapore with a series of activities to ring in the Deepavali season in 2023. Focused on serving vulnerable households and strengthening community bonds, the activities were kick-started with a $40,000 donation from the Foundation to the Singapore Indian Development Association (SINDA). These funds went towards uplifting Indian families in need through financial and educational support.
At the launch event for the donation announcement, five beneficiary families from SINDA participated in a shopping trip organised by FairPrice Group - they were accompanied by guest of honour Minister Indranee Rajah, and FairPrice Group senior leadership, who guided them through the FairPrice Xtra Jurong Point store to pick out daily essentials and groceries they needed for their festive celebrations.
